📋 Role Summary & Main Responsibilities

TopBuild is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage a dedicated portfolio, providing essential administrative and collections support. The core focus is maintaining strong cash flow and minimizing delinquent receivables (low Days Sales Outstanding – DSO).

Key Responsibilities

Collections & Administration: Provide administrative and collection support for the Regional Credit Manager and the assigned portfolio.
Customer Communication: Communicate regularly with customers to resolve open invoices and disputes, aiming to keep Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) low.
Account Management: Update account records with detailed notes regarding status, payments, and credit holds.
Problem Resolution: Review unapplied payments, overpayments, short-paid invoices, and research/resolve cash application issues (Cash Application).
Credit Holds: Respond promptly to credit hold requests and approve/disapprove overrides based on payment promises.
Collaboration: Partner with sales and administrative teams to balance sales goals with maintaining healthy cash flow.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: 1–3 years in credit and collections, billing, or basic accounting/finance.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and High Radius.
Industry Focus: Experience in building materials distribution, construction, or insulation is a a plus.
Work Requirement: Ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours.
Personal Skills: High attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, integrity, and professionalism.
