📋 Role Summary & Main Responsibilities

Magic Eden, a leading Bitcoin dApp and NFT platform, is looking for an Accounting Manager to take charge of financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and operational efficiency in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, including consolidations, accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.
General Accounting: Manage general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and expense processes.
Compliance & Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls, support tax preparation/filings, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Systems & Workflow: Evaluate and enhance accounting systems, workflows, ERP systems, and reporting tools for scalability.
Strategic Support: Manage external auditor relationships and provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business growth and decision-making.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: 5+ years in accounting roles, including 2+ years in public accounting or auditing.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP principles and experience applying them to complex transactions.
Industry Edge: Knowledge of NFTs, blockchain technology, and digital asset markets is a significant plus.
